About This Project
The Thompson family had been experiencing random power outages to part of their home. Sometimes the living room would lose power for no apparent reason, then come back on. Other electricians had struggled to find the cause.
We systematically tested each connection point in the affected circuit, using thermal imaging to detect any hot spots indicating loose connections. We found a deteriorating junction hidden in the ceiling cavity—the connections had oxidized over time and were arcing intermittently.
After replacing the faulty junction with proper connections, the problem was completely resolved. The family was relieved to finally have a diagnosis and fix after months of frustration. We also inspected other junctions while we had access, giving them confidence in their home's electrical safety.
