About This Project
The Anderson family had just purchased a Tesla Model 3 and needed a proper home charging solution. Charging from a standard power point was too slow for their daily commute. They wanted a dedicated Level 2 charger that would fully charge their car overnight.
First, we assessed their switchboard capacity and confirmed it could handle the additional load. We installed a dedicated 32-amp circuit from the switchboard to the garage, then mounted a quality smart EV charger that could be scheduled for off-peak charging. All cabling was neatly installed with proper protection.
The family now wakes up to a fully charged car every morning. The smart charger's scheduling feature means they charge during the cheapest electricity rates, saving money. Mr. Anderson said the convenience of home charging has changed how they think about their car.
